Meanwhile postponing the work on Mo's bike starts to interfere with the other little jobs on the agenda. 2014 is one of them
2014 is a very important year , not only to the world, but also to the town I live in. A 100 Years ago Belgium had to deal with a lot of uninvited German visitors .The Scheldt river was a natural obstacle the Germans had to cross and the Belgian army used the river to their advantage. Along the river Skirmishes took place to bind the imperial forces and slow down their advance towards France. Guess what...........the Scheldt is about 5 clicks from where I live and some interesting stuff went down there 99 years ago. One of the better documented "raids" is the one starring Minerva armoured car N°7, designated by the Belgian army as "auto blindé N°7"

An exhibition is planned , the car is one of the items to be handled. My part in this is simple : making a scale model of the Minerva N°7. let's say roughly 30 years ago I built my last modelkit,it's been a while and I had to pick up the habit again, , but boy , I forgot how much fun glueing plastic together could be . An inconvenient factor : a decent scaled modelkit of the Minerva doesn't exist. This is my very first 1/20 scratchbuild. Styrene sheets , channels & profiles and a beat up carmann 1/24 are the materials I use. Making the spoke wheels is the only thing that worries me , but hey ...too easy is no fun
