Robby is still waiting for the R65 gearbox spares, so Mo's bike engine is put on hold, meanwhile, the ongoing project has moved to my workbench again .
The fueltank for this ongoing /2/5 conversion is a CJ tank, chinese made . I use the CJ tank because I bought it on the internet, if I had my hands on it prior to the purchase , I would have chosen a thick Russian iron tank. The M72 tank has an I-shaped slit to accomodate a solo saddle But to fit a double saddle, the rear of CJ tank has the appropriate U- shaped space to fit the nose of a double saddle. I wanted a double saddle on the conversion , so I stuck with the CJ tank, modification on front and rear fixation had to be made to fit the BMW /2 frame.
When the work or the ideas get interesting I'll be posting more pictures in "making of "-section on the website,
